Join our team at Shrewsbury as the MIS Data Manager and play a pivotal role in revolutionising our school's data management systems. In this key role, you’ll manage and develop our school’s Management Information Systems (MIS), ensuring data accuracy, quality, and full compliance with GDPR standards.

As the lead for ISAMS, our primary MIS, and supporting our CRM system (HubSpot), you will drive the development and integration of these essential tools, enabling seamless data reporting and tracking for staff and students alike. You’ll also oversee critical annual preparations, making sure the school is ready for each new academic year with accurate, up-to-date information.

In addition to managing core platforms like the Parent Portal (My School Portal), you’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, system integrity, and user support, helping our team stay on top of key software. You’ll train staff, establish standard operating procedures, and work with software vendors to ensure the systems meet our evolving needs.

Permanent, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 Weeks

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR Co-ordinator to join our newly restructured and vibrant HR team, to assist with the delivery of an effective HR service.

Being the first point of contact in the department, you will offer a professional and responsive customer focused service.

Every day offers new challenges in this busy and varied role, where the postholder can expect to be involved in a range of HR activities.  Duties will include supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, in accordance with our safer recruitment procedures, inputting and maintaining HR databases, co-ordination of mandatory training and general HR administration.

The role requires strong organisation and IT skills, as well as having the desire and passion to deliver high standards of work.

Cleaning Assistant

Cleaning Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Cleaning Assistant who is passionate about delivering an excellent cleaning service.  Working in our Boarding Houses, you will ensure that all areas are kept in a hygienic condition, ensuring a very high standard at all times.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a friendly and supportive environment, have an eye for detail with excellent standards of cleaning.  Previous cleaning or work experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however full training will be given.

This role is 20 hours per week, working 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, with rotational Saturdays, term-time working plus 3 weeks + 1 days during the school holidays. 

The starting hourly rate of pay will be £11.44 per hour, increasing to £11.54 per hour following a satisfactory 6-month probationary review.

School Receptionist

School Receptionist

Part-time, fixed term contract from December 2024 to 31 August 2025, working 2 days per week, term time plus holidays (competitive salary)

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and values driven Receptionist to cover an internal secondment.  This role is based in the heart of the School where you will be the first point of contact for the school’s main reception.

Providing a high-quality customer service, you must be adaptable and flexible in your working approach and be able to deal sensitively and confidently with parents, pupils and staff in a clear and confident manner. 

You will have excellent office and administrative skills and be able to deal with a variety of office tasks, together with experience of supporting senior stakeholders in a secretarial position.  Experience in an educational setting and front of house role is desirable but the right candidate will be provided with all necessary training.

You will demonstrate high level ICT skills and be task orientated and able to deal with conflicting deadlines. 

This is a part-time (year-round), position working Tuesdays and Fridays, 8.30am to 5pm with a 1 hour break for lunch. There will be occasions when you will be expected to work outside these hours to suit the operational need of the school.

Front of House Supervisor

Front of House Supervisor

We are seeking a Front of House Supervisor for Dining Halls at Shrewsbury School, they will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily dining services as well as coordinating and overseeing special events, such as formal dinners, balls, and receptions. What you’ll do: 

Daily Operations: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day front of house operations for all dining halls, ensuring a high standard of service is always maintained. 
  • Supervise and train front of house staff, including servers and dining attendants, to ensure efficient and courteous service. 
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals, addressing any issues or special requests promptly. 
  • Maintain a welcoming and orderly dining environment, managing seating arrangements, table settings, and overall cleanliness. 
  • Monitor inventory of front of house supplies (e.g. linens, tableware) and coordinate with the Dining Services Manager to ensure adequate stock. 

Special Events: 

  • Plan and supervise the execution of special occasions, including formal balls, themed dinners, and other school events, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards. 
  • Collaborate with event organisers, including school administration and external vendors, to finalise event details such as menus, seating plans, and service styles. 
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring that all elements (e.g., decorations, AV equipment) are in place and functioning as needed. 
  • Lead the front of house team during events, ensuring smooth service flow and addressing any issues in real-time. 
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to during events.
