The National Fives Championships at Eton
At the time of writing, both our top Senior pairs are through to the Final that takes place this afternoon: Jack Hudson-Williams and Henry Lewis will be playing Sam Welti and Guy Williams.

Our top two U14 pairs both qualified for today's semi-finals, but unfortunately the second pair have had to withdraw as they are not available to play today.

To get a feel for the flows of adrenalin and incredibly complicated logistics in keeping players away from lessons and school activities for as little time as possible in the last week of term, please see Seb Cooley's full report below (which will be updated once the Finals are played).

The 2012 Quod Fashion Show
The Quod Fashion Show committee members are delighted to announce that Carol Smillie will be hosting our 2012 Charity Fashion Show on 16th November.  In the expectation that this will be our biggest Fashion Show yet, we are going to be holding it in the Alington Hall.

The committee would welcome any suggestions or offers of sponsorship or involvement in this event.

Please contact Clare Wilson chlw@shrewsbury.org.uk if you are interested in supporting the Fashion Show in any way.

House Sport
Inter-house sporting challenges of one sort or another take place every week, throughout the year, with some of the highlights at the end of each term.  Tomorrow afternoon sees the inter-house Hockey 7-a-side matches starting 2.15pm, and The Hunt's Steeplechases at 2pm; these are followed by the inter-house Rugby 7s at around 3.30pm.  Supporters for any of these events will be most welcome.

Please see our Inter-house sport page for a general idea of when the main challenges take place during each year.

Trips over the Easter holidays
There are a number of trips taking place over the Easter holidays - a German trip to Bavaria, a French trip to Montpellier, a History trip to Berlin and a Geography trip to Iceland. In addition, there are two MUN conferences that we are taking part in, one in Edinburgh and one in Manchester.  There are CCF trips to Norway and Talargerwyn, Snowdonia, three Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, rugby is being played across the country, and our rowers are heading off to the USA!

We hope to have pupil-written reports on each of these trips in our first eNewsletter of next term.

Forthcoming Events - Summer Term
Next term's Fasti is close to being finalised.  It should be on the main Calendar page of the website before Easter.
