Notices to Parents
Sixty years ago
With the Jubilee holiday weekend just a few days away, it seemed a good time to look back to our Royal Visit in October 1952 - the year of our fourth centenary - when The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited Shrewsbury School.
We will be celebrating The Royal Visit properly next term, when The Queen's Terrace (outside MSB, overlooking the river) will be refurbished, but in the meantime, we have brought together some of the accounts of that momentous day almost sixty years ago, along with some photos: The Royal Visit 1952.
Musings from our Heads of Faculties
We recently asked our faculty heads to submit short articles for potential publication in an educational supplement. We don't know at this stage whether they will be published, but have decided to include one in each eNewsletter over the next few weeks. Kristina Leslie, Head of English, gets the ball rolling - in Latest News below.
