New 19th century history lecture series begins next week
Dr Mike Morrogh will give the first in a new series of history lectures on Wednesday 16th October, which will take place in the Art School at 7pm. This week's lecture will be on 19th Century French History: Why was 19th century France unable to achieve political stability? The series includes lectures by Dr Morrogh on 19th Century Italian History and Irish History, a lecture by Richard Field on 19th Century Chivalry and the Invention of the English Gentleman, and a lecture by Michael Schutzer-Weissman on the End of the Victorian Era and the Aesthetic Movement'.

The Tucks, Friday 18th October, 2.00pm
Parents and friends are warmly invited to come and watch the race, which begins and ends in Meole village on the football pitch behind Meole Brace Primary School. Please note, however, that there is no parking in Meole village itself this year. Supporters can either park at The Schools and walk down with the pupils for the 2pm start, or park nearby. Half-term holiday activities and sports courses
We have recently expanded the number of courses and activities for children that take place at the School outside term time. During half-term, we are running courses for boys and girls aged between 7 and 13 years in tennis, trampolining, fencing, archery, swimming and canoeing. There are also masterclass courses in hockey and netball for children aged between 7 and 16.
