Shrewsbury School in Concert in the Cadogan Hall, London - Sunday 9th March
We would love to see as many parents and friends as possible at our Gala Concert in the Cadogan Hall, which is just off Sloane Square in London. The concert begins at 6.30pm and will feature a wonderful programme of music performed by the School's Symphony, String and Wind Orchestras and Brass Ensembles, as well as some solo performances by some of our most talented senior musicians. Tickets are £10 each and can be booked online at www.shrewsburyschool.ticketsource.co.uk. We will also be running 'Supporters’ Coaches' from Shrewsbury for £25 per person, which includes a ticket to the concert. They will leave at 9.00am and return after the concert. Celebrity Recital with pianist Llyr Williams - Saturday 1st March in the Alington Hall, Shrewsbury School
We are delighted to welcome Llyr Williams to the School to give the inaugural performance on the wonderful new Steinway piano we have generously been given. Llyr has performed with orchestras around the world, including the BBC Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Mozart Players. He also appears regularly at the BBC Proms and at the Edinburgh Festival. For more details, please see Forthcoming Events below.


Shrewsbury School Parents' Association 'Ball of Siam' programme is now available to browse 
The Shrewsbury School Parents' Association (SSPA) is very much looking forward to welcoming current parents and Old Salopians to its inaugural black-tie 'Ball of Siam on Friday 28th March 2014. German Faculty Study Visit to Bavaria: 18th - 23rd October 2014
Dr Chris Minns, Head of German, is organising a six-day trip to Munich and Augsburg. Please see his Letter to Parents for more details and an application form.


1st XI and U15 XI Cricket Festivals, 15th - 17th April 2014: a message from Andy Barnard, Teacher in Charge of Cricket
The 1st XI Cricket Festival will be held at Shrewsbury School from 15th - 17th April. Shrewsbury's 1st XI will be competing against Millfield School, Worcester CCC Academy and Worksop College.

The U15 XI Cricket Festival will take place on the same dates at Millfield School. Shrewsbury's squad will meet and travel on Monday 14th April and will compete against Tonbridge, Millfield and Oakham Schools.

Selection letters will be sent out after half term.


Sponsored Sports ‘All-Nighter’ in aid of Medic Malawi - starts 7.00pm tonight (Friday 14th February), finishes 7.00am tomorrow
A reminder that the pupils and staff taking part in the Sports 'All-Nighter' would be very grateful for any support you can offer to help them get through night - in particular Steve Fox, who will be attempting to complete a marathon on an ergo in under three hours between the hours of 2.00 and 5.00am.
