Shrewsbury Half Marathon 2014 – a message from Peter Middleton
Following the success of last year's inaugural Shrewsbury Half Marathon, this year on Sunday 22nd June runners will once again take on the 21.1km challenge, this time with a new route starting and finishing at the Shrewsbury Showground.  At last year's event, Shrewsbury School had the largest team out of all those entered, and indeed the Half Marathon was won by Old Salopian Oli Mott, with the women's event won by his wife Hilary!  We very much hope that this year even more runners from the Shrewsbury School family will take part, whether they are staff, pupils, parents or Leavers.  Last year, our team were joined by a large number of parents, some of whom were local, but others joined the team from as far afield as Boston, USA.

To sign up for the half-marathon, please go to the organiser's website at and enter the name 'Shrewsbury School' in the team name section.  Do let us know if you have signed up by e-mailing  We look forward to a keen and enthusiastic group beginning to form!
