Final call to join 'Team Shrewsbury School' in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon, Sunday 22nd June
Following the success of last year's inaugural Shrewsbury Half Marathon, this year runners will once again take on the 21.1km challenge, this time with a new route starting and finishing at the Shrewsbury Showground.  At last year's event, Shrewsbury School had the largest team out of all those entered and included a large number of parents - some from as far afield as Boston, USA. This year we very much hope that even more runners from the Shrewsbury School family will take part, whether they are staff, pupils, parents or Old Salopians.  'Team Shrewsbury School' will be supporting The Shrewsbury Ark, a drop-in centre helping homeless and vulnerable people. As last year, we will be ordering running vests for all Team Shrewsbury School runners and gathering everyone together for a pasta party the evening before the event.

Please sign up for the half-marathon as part of the Shrewsbury School Team by Tuesday 29th April by going to the organiser's website at and entering the name 'Shrewsbury School' in the team name section.  Please let Peter Middleton know if you have signed up by e-mailing
