Amelie Davies selected to represent Wales in the U16 Hockey International Test Series

Wednesday 7 March 2018

Congratulations to Amelie Davies (MSH V), who has been selected to play for the Wales Under-16 Hockey team in their International Test Series next month.

This will be the second year that Amelie has represented Wales in the Test Series. Following her selection in March 2017, she has been training and progressing with the squad for the last year.  With fewer than half a dozen of the players from the original squad remaining, Amelie has worked extremely hard to retain her place in the Test team.

Wales will once again face Scotland, with three matches over the Easter weekend at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, which was designed to host the Hockey Commonwealth Games in 2014.

In addition to playing in the Shrewsbury School 1st XI hockey team, Amelie is also part of the 1st VII netball team, one of the top fives players and is part of the girls' cricket team who were runners-up last season in both the Lady Taverner's National U15 Indoor Cricket Competition and the School Sports U15s National Finals.
