A buoyant crowd – the ‘Salop Army’ – were in fine voice to push the team on; Salopian spirit at its finest! The team responded in kind, our possession stat was over 70% which highlighted the dominance and control the 1st XI had against a well-drilled and committed opposition.
An impressive hat-trick from Harry Cooke (PH) – with all three coming from long-range shots – secured the match, followed by a goal each for Nathan Day and Guy Gower (S) – the latter a confident penalty firing into the top corner.
The quarter-final draw sees us go to Brentwood on Wednesday 4th December – a tough, but realistic, draw.
This fixture represents our third visit to the last eight of the national ISFA Boodles competition in the past five years. Well done team!
