Lacrosse: A flying start for our new teams

Friday 26 September 2014

Our senior and junior lacrosse teams have begun the season in impressive style.

The first match of the lacrosse season on 10th September was between our new 1st XII and a well established Malvern St James 2nd XII team. Despite the fact that a number of our more experienced players were away on University Open Days and five completely new players were subbed in to play, we drew 7-7 – an amazing achievement for a new team.

A number of our Seniors will be playing in the Shropshire County Trials on 15th October, hoping to win a place in the County team.

Our newly formed U14s also had a very decisive win (10-7) against Packwood Haugh’s U13A team on . For a number of our girls it was a trip back to their Prep School to play against former team mates; for others it was their very first lacrosse match, having only picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time two weeks ago.

With a number of fixtures in the Fasti, we hope to continue this success throughout the season.
