Our Best Reads of 2018...

Friday 14 December 2018

Recommendations from Shrewsbury School pupils and staff.

Every year we appeal to staff and students for details of the books which they have most enjoyed reading over the past 12 months. We have cast the net even wider this year to also garner reader recommendations from friends and colleagues with whom we interact via Twitter (@MoserLibrary).

The result is our Best Reads 2018 publication - a wonderfully eclectic celebration of genuinely loved books. The centre pages promote the YA novels which have been shortlisted for the Shrewsbury School Book Award 2019. Chosen by library staff with the help of our most bibliophilic students, we believe these are the best novels published for teenagers in the last 18 months. (Our winner will be selected on World Book Day next year.)

Our intention with this annual publication is to identify a varied selection of books to appeal to a range of tastes, and to tempt even the most reluctant readers. I hope you find your next read within these pages: Our Best Reads of 2018

Happy reading and Merry Christmas!

Jo Elliot, Head Librarian
