Thursday 1 March 2018

There were some very impressive performances from the Shrewsbury crews who raced at the Head of the Trent in Nottingham last Sunday in sunny but bracing conditions.

The morning division saw two senior eights and a J16 eight competing over the 5700m course. The Senior boats came 8th and 10th overall among a strong field.

The J16 Eight won their event by a healthy margin over nearest rival King's Chester.

The second division over 3800m gave a chance for three J14 and three J15 crews to compete. All six crews handled the conditions very well with some impressive performances.

The J15 girls came 5th in their event.

The J15 boys came 1st and 3rd in the J15 VIIIs' event.

The J14 boys and girls made it a double victory in the J14 Octuples event.
