Saturday saw a tremendous performance by the Third form in the traditional New Boys' Race. Blustery conditions did not deter the 120 or so boys who competed, and the eventual race winner was Oscar Dickins (R) in a time of 8.16. In doing so, Oscar smashed the existing record for the race by a staggering 16 seconds.Behind him was Ben Remnant (Ch), in a time of 8:45, which interestingly would have been fast enough to win last year's race. In third came Gene Ratanadaros (O), with a particularly gutsy performance, finishing in 8:49.
The strength in depth of this Third form group promises great things for the Hunt in years to come.
Congratulations to all who competed.
