Salopians celebrate Oxford offers

Friday 21 January 2022

Congratulations to Salopians who have recently received Oxford offers.

Our Upper Sixth Formers are in the middle of the university cycle and offers are now starting to come in ahead of their departures in the summer, with the most recent success including seven Oxford offers.

Salopians with Oxford offers are:

  • Eustacia F (M) - English at Merton College
  • Sakunori N (O) - Mathematics at Trinity College
  • Dylan T (PH) - Biology at Christ Church College
  • George C (Rb) - Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Pembroke College
  • Martha S (M) - History and Modern Language at Pembroke College

L-R: Sakunori, Martha, George, Eustacia and Dylan.

Offers were also awarded to Old Salopians:

  • Sam F (SH, 2021) - PPE at Jesus College
  • Milton T (SH, 2021) Philosophy and Modern Language at Balliol College

Our pupils have done extremely well to navigate the application process, which was adapted at every stage, including pre-interview assessments and at interview level.

Deputy Head (Academic), Dr Richard Kowenicki, said: “I am delighted that our Upper Sixth pupils are being rewarded for their dedication, skill and talent with offers of places at world-class universities like Oxford. They have worked hard and deserve their success.

“We look forward to supporting all of them as they get on with the business of preparing for their summer exams.”

We are delighted that so many of our pupils are receiving offers from Russell Group universities including Bristol, Durham and UCL in subjects such as International Relations, Engineering and Philosophy.
