At the Shrewsbury Regatta over 7/8th May the Sabrina VIII finally got back onto the water after a long hiatus following the pandemic.
A scratch crew assembled to race in the Open event. They pulled their first high rate strokes against Runcorn in a straight final. Luckily, the hours spent over previous years meant the muscle memory came quickly back and they crossed the line over a length clear of the opposition.
It was a classic Shrewsbury Regatta, large crowds and sunshine. Made even better by a quick drink from the winners’ tankards!
