Next week, the Lower Sixth will follow a programme that will help them prepare for applying to university. As well as being guided through completing the vast majority of their UCAS application, they will have a talk from an admission officer at the University of Warwick on how to research and select their five choices of course and university. In addition, there will the chance to hear from an admissions expert from the University of Southampton on writing an excellent Personal Statement, which will give them food for thought as they work with their tutors over the week on producing a first draft.
In a period of uncertainty for universities, International Universities expert David Hawkins will provide an update for both students and parents, followed by a Q&A session on Wednesday at 2pm. This will be followed on Thursday at 2pm by Karl Devincenzi, Student Recruitment Manager at the University of Exeter, who will do the same for UK universities. Though aimed at parents of the L6, all are welcome and further details are available from Karen Scimia at firstname.lastname@example.org.
