Congratulations to the winners of this year's Wind Prizes and thank you to all who took part for a very enjoyable afternoon of music-making.

This year's adjudicator was Lara James, who teaches saxophone at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. She has performed as a concerto soloist and recitalist throughout the UK and her freelance recording work includes sessions for radio, BBC TV and CD recordings and appearances with numerous major orchestras in the UK. As a soloist, Lara has been broadcast around the world including the UK (BBC Radio 3, Classic FM), Ireland (RTE Lyric FM), the USA (NPR) and on ABC Classic FM Australia.

Prizes were awarded to the following:

Junior Class
First: Bryan Lo (M IV - flute)
Highly Commended:  William Hope (Ch 3 - clarinet)
Commended: Harry Russell (O V - saxophone)

Intermediate Class
First: Antonia Wordie (EDH LVI - clarinet)
Highly Commended: Henry Mayhew (Ch IV - clarinet)
Commended: Henry Newbould (Ch LVI - bassoon)
Special Mention: Joe Thevasthasan (PH V) & Henri Cramsie (SH 3)

Senior Class
First: Henry Newbould (Ch LVI - saxophone)
Highly Commended: Ursule Taujanskaite (MSH LVI - flute)
Commended: Ben Sansom (PH LVI - saxophone)
Special mention: Cecily Price (EDH UVI - saxophone)
