'After Columbia's successes at the Eastern Sprints and the IRA, we took a weeks rest before flying to Spain where we trained on Lake Banyoles for 3 weeks in preparation for Henley. Having raced all year as lightweights, we tried to gain as much weight as possible for the head wind and stream that Henley usually provides. The preparation payed off, and we were thrilled to make it to the Semi Finals of the PA beating some strong opponents. It was my first time back at the regatta since rowing for RSSBC and to see them do so well was really special. We came into the regatta not really knowing what to expect, but having made the semi finals we will certainly aim to be back again next year and I believe that if we learn from our mistakes this year we can have a real shot at winning the event.'
