Sixth Former's new single recognised by BBC Introducing radio platform
A Sixth Former has released a single from his next EP that he has co-written and produced.
Ivo W (I, UVI) makes up one half of the duo Idlework and this week has released the single Willow from their upcoming EP.
This is a follow up from their first EP Crane Fly, which they released in 2021 and being signed to Finsbury Park-based record label Our House in 2022.
Ivo said: “I'm really pleased with how the first week of release has been and proud of the song’s performance given it's an independent release.
“Willow was featured on the Spotify playlist 'New Music Friday UK' and was chosen as the earworm of the week for BBC Introducing in the West. We had a great time recording some of the vocals in a studio day in London but most of the track was produced from my bedroom.
“I'm really excited for the future and continue to gain contacts in the industry who will help with releasing through labels in the future. I also enjoyed filming a video for the next single which will be released on January 13th.”
