Musicians perform in the renowned Didsbury Coffee Concerts
Musical Salopians travelled to Manchester last weekend for the 36th annual Didsbury Coffee Concert.
Despite an early departure we were warmly welcomed on our arrival to St James & Emmanuel Church, Didsbury, Manchester on Saturday morning in preparation for our annual recital in the renowned series.
The Didsbury Coffee Concerts continue to attract a continuous flow of highly talented young musicians and a deeply appreciative audience who provide tremendous support and encouragement for them.
Our musicians were incredible, performing with style and musicality that demonstrated talent, technical accomplishment and communication of some extremely mature and challenging repertoire. As ever the programme provided the opportunity for both soloists and chamber ensembles to showcase their skills.
Director of Music Maria McKenzie said: “I am incredibly proud of all of them, and it is real testament to their talents that members of the audience were led to believe that we are a specialist music school!”
