A Sixth former has released his third EP as part of his musical duo.

Ivo W (I, UVI) makes up one half of the duo Idlework, along with his friend Daisy, who recently released their third EP Where the Pear Trees Grow

The first single released from this, Willow gained attention from BBC Introducing in the West at the end of last year.

Ivo said: “Idlework's 3rd EP is a mix of childhood nostalgia and excitement for the future as Daisy and I near the end of school and the start of adulthood. We wrote most of the songs collaboratively while apart from each other but the vocals were recorded in a makeshift studio in Croatia while we were on holiday. I produced the tracks from my bedroom studio, hotel rooms, and London.

“Another fun project we did for this EP was collaborating with an independent film maker and shooting a video for one of the singles in Carding Mill Valley.

“After being given the opportunity to perform a live streamed concert as an emerging band I decided to arrange an intimate set for a string trio as well as the usual band (which also features OS Ethan Poon on the drums). We streamed from a studio in London after a morning of slightly hectic last minute rehearsal with the string trio but it was a great time.

“It was amazing to get a taste for what life could be like once we hopefully move to London at the end of this year!”
