The Governing Body of Shrewsbury School has approved an update to the School’s Statutes, in line with the Public Schools Act 1868. The revised Statutes consolidate and modernise existing provisions, ensuring that the School’s governance framework remains clear, robust and fit for the future. These updates do not affect pupils’ day-to-day experience at Shrewsbury. As required by law, the amended Statutes have been formally published and are subject to a standard two-month period during which authorised parties may make representations to the Privy Council. You can read the updated Statutes here.
