Swimming Academy

Our group classes are graded by ability and our lessons follow Stages 1-7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme. For beginners and up to Stage 3, the maximum class size is 6 children. For higher levels the maximum class size increases progressively to 10 children. We also offer one-to-one instruction, Rookie Lifeguard and a Development Squad session. All of our swimming classes are 30 minutes long, with the exception of the Development Squad which is 1 hour long.

• £8.95 per 30-minute group lesson
• £26.00 per 30-minute one-to-one lesson
• £38.00 per 30-minute two-to-one lessson
• £10.45 per 1-hour Development Squad session

Payment is required in advance for each term booking of lessons.

We offer instruction on the following days and times:

Monday 4.00pm - 6.30pm
Tuesday 4.00pm – 8.00pm
Wednesday 4.00pm – 6.30pm
Friday 4.00pm – 7.30pm
Saturday 9.00am – 1.30pm

Please note that due to the extended popularity of our Academy we are currently operating a considerable waiting list for our Swimming Academy. Early registration is advised, with new members generally waiting a year to enrol.

To maintain excellent standards and delivery for members of the Shrewsbury School Swimming Academy, we offer access to a home portal that makes use of modern technology to strengthen the connection between you, your child and the teacher. During the sessions the teachers will use a handheld device to record and update your child’s attendance and development online.

The Home portal has been designed to enable you to create your own specific log in to be able to access your child(ren)'s information, therefore allowing you to view the weekly updates online. Please follow the link below and complete the necessary registration and information:
