Shrewsbury School 'Mozart Fest' this weekend

A reminder of this weekend’s ‘Mozart Fest, with performances of ‘The Magic Flute' on Friday and Saturday in the Maidment Auditorium, and a Gala Concert that includes Mozart’s Requiem in the Alington Hall on Sunday. Tickets are free and will be available on the door.

And more music to look forward to next weekend... and the next

As you will see in the Forthcoming Events listed below, there is lots more music to look forward to over the next two weeks.

Next Friday 4th May, Old Salopian Galin Ganchev will be returning to Shrewsbury to give a piano recital in the Maidment Auditorium. Those who have heard him perform before will know just what a phenomenally talented musician he is.

On Saturday 12th May, Shrewsbury School musicians will be performing a lovely repertoire of vocal and chamber music in Acton Round Parish Church, near Bridgnorth. Refreshments will be available before the concert in the beautiful adjacent garden of Acton Round Hall, which is one of the architectural gems of Shropshire, built in the period of Queen Anne. This concert is being given by kind permission of Louisa and Tom Kennedy in aid of church repairs, and they extend a warm invitation to all Salopian families and friends to join them.

The following evening, Sunday 13th May in the Maidment Building, Old Salopians Daniel Norman and David Cowan - both of whom are internationally acclaimed musicians – will be performing a recital of songs exploring the mind, visions and dreams. A treat not to be missed!
