Notices to Parents and Guardians

A message to all parents from the Director of IT

The Director of IT has placed some important information in the notices section of the Parent Portal. This relates to an increased prevalence of email phishing attacks targeted at parents of children at independent schools.

Also on the Parent Portal is the recently updated Pupil Acceptable Usage of Computers Policy. It is published on the Policies and IT Support pages of the school website and can also be downloaded here: Pupil Acceptable Usage Policy

St Cecilia Concerts, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November at 7.30pm in the Alington Hall

Next weekend we look forward to one of the major highlights in the School's musical calendar. The St Cecilia Concerts are performed by the combined forces of the Shrewsbury School Community Choir, Chapel Choir, Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. This year the programme includes the first movement of Rachmaninov's glorious 2nd Piano Concerto, performed by Kanei Nishii (Ch 5), Haydn's Mass in Time of War, movements from Beethoven's 1st Symphony and works for wind orchestra.

Performances are in the Alington Hall at 7.30pm on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November. Tickets are free and can be booked in advance at

Shrewsbury School Parents' Association Christmas Fair, Sunday 25th November, 11am - 4pm in Quod

The SSPA and Barnabas Community Projects Foodbank Plus warmly invite all parents and friends to a sparkling Christmas Fair in Quod next Sunday.

Junior School Play: Under Milk Wood, Thursday 29th November – Saturday 1st December at 7.30pm in the Ashton Theatre

Hot on the heels of the Senior School Play ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, the Junior thespians of Shrewsbury School are getting ready to perform another 20th century classic, Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas. Audiences are in for a treat!

Carol Services - Final Reminder

The closing date for Carol Service ticket applications is Friday 23rd November.
