House Singing Competition live stream

A very warm welcome to everyone joining us for the Annual House Singing Competition - and a reminder that all those who are unable to be here in person can still enjoy being part of the occasion by watching it online via our live stream. It can be accessed via the following link: https://www.shrewsbury.org.uk/page/house-singing-competition-2019-live-stream.

The Competition itself begins at 18:30 BST, and the broadcast will begin at 18:15 when our host commentators for the evening (Mr Percival and Mr Walters - back by popular demand) take up position at their microphones. You can tweet them during the evening @TobyPercival and @DhaMhw.

After the Competition is over, the broadcast will still be available to view via the same link until at least 11.00 BST on Saturday 19th October.

Shrewsbury Foodbank Plus Christmas Fair, Sunday 17th November, 11am - 4pm in Quod

As the Headmaster has mentioned in his End of Half-Term Letter to Parents, we are looking forward to hosting the Shrewsbury Foodbank Christmas Fair on Sunday 17th November in Quod and hope that as many of you as possible will come along and support the event – and please bring friends and family.

Last year’s Fair was extremely successful and there was a wonderful sense of shared endeavour, with our pupil team of Global Social Leaders working alongside the staff of Shrewsbury Foodbank Plus, supported by the Shrewsbury School Parents’ Association, welcoming local independent stallholders from across Shropshire – and all in aid of the vital work Foodbank Plus does within the local community.

This year’s event will be even bigger – and, we hope, even more successful – with 40+ varied and high-quality stalls selling gifts, food and more.

If you are able to bake a cake, have any toiletries for re-gifting or have any items suitable for the raffle, they will be gratefully received. All goods can be left at the School Reception on Saturday 16th November from 8am to 11am. Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
