DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival 2020

We are very much looking forward to joining in with this year’s DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival, which celebrates Shrewsbury’s special links with Charles Darwin, not only as his birthplace but as the inspiration behind his curiosity and independent thinking. There will be lots of events taking place across the town from 7th to 16th February.

The Festival includes tours of the School’s collection of Darwin papers and artefacts (now fully booked, although the exhibition will remain in the Library until the end of the month) and a concert given by Shrewsbury School musicians in St Alkmund’s Church on Friday 14th February at 7.30pm. This will be a tribute in music and words to our most eminent former pupil, entitled ‘For Love of Darwin’. Entrance is free, including a complimentary glass of wine on arrival.

Further details of the concert are under ‘Forthcoming Events’ below. The full DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival programme can be viewed via this link: https://originalshrewsbury.co.uk/darwin-shrewsbury-festival
