Kate B will be taking to her bike to conquer over 120 miles in order to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

Kate B (IV, MSH) is taking on the mammoth task of cycling 121 miles to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance as part of the charity’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

Along with her cousins Charlotte and Elliot, Kate will start the challenge on February 1st and will aim to reach the finish line on March 2nd. The three cyclists will be riding locally to ensure that they are in keeping with the current lockdown restrictions.

The fundraisers are hoping to raise £600 for the charity, and they are already well on their way to reaching the target.

The Shrewsbury School pupil decided to take on the challenge after a friend of hers was airlifted to hospital by the Midlands Air Ambulance following an accident last year, adding it’s a charity “you never know when you may need.”

The three cyclists have decided to take on the biggest challenge set by the charity, covering 121 miles which is the distance between all three airbases for the air ambulance: Tatenhill, RAF Cosford and Strensham.
