Shrewsbury School crest

It was wonderful to see more than 230 Old Salopians back at School for Old Salopian Day. I'm so pleased the weather was kind to us especially for the flag raising ceremony in honour of Ken Spiby and Robin Moulsdale and the return of the OSFC vs School football fixture.

We had two interesting and contrasting talks from Robin Brooke-Smith and Christopher Hope, a poignant unveiling of a restored war memorial in Churchill's and the unveiling of a portrait of much loved rowing coach and housemaster Peter Gladstone in the Boathouse.

It was all rounded off with a lively dinner where we were delighted to welcome Sabrina members from the USA and Belgium, and a fitting celebration of Robin Trimby's 90th birthday including touching tributes from Peter Worth and current President Ben Duncan.
