Rower records fastest time of the day at Bedford Small Boats Head

On Sunday morning a coach load of J16’s travelled to Bedford for the Bedford Small Boats Head.

The event provided a great chance for the crews to get a couple of runs under their belt over the 1950-meter course. It was a chance to put the technical progress they have been making in training to the test in a race environment.

Racing in matched crews produced pleasing performances with very little separating the field of eight boys and six girls coxed fours.

Katie W (QEH, V) took to the water in a very competitive field of thirty-five J16 scullers. She produced a stunning row and despite a clash of blades managed to record the fastest time of the day to win the event.
