Shrewsbury School is deeply saddened by the news that His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh has passed away.

Our deepest sympathies are with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family at this time.

The Salopian community is among those mourning across the Nation and the Commonwealth.

As an expression of our sadness the School’s flag is flying at half-mast.

We were fortunate to welcome Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh in 1952 to celebrate our 400th Anniversary.
