Lacrosse players selected for U21 Welsh Squad

Five of our 1st X Lacrosse Team have been selected for the U21 Welsh Lacrosse Squad. 

Congratulations to Iris D (G, LVI) and Mimi G (EDH, V) who have been selected for the U21 A Squad, and Romilly B (MSH, LVI), Genevieve B (M, LVI) and Eloise J (MSH, V) who have been selected for the U21 B Squad.

They will play for the U21 Welsh Team for the Home Internationals which will be held in Scotland in April – an impressive achievement for the girls who are all aged 17 or younger.  

This puts our Lacrosse Team in a great position ahead of the School's campaign at the National Schools Championship held in 2 weeks. 

On Saturday, the 1st X put in a strong performance at the Marlborough College Invitational Tournament finishing runners up.  Along the way they beat Marlborough College, Westonbirt and Monmouth Girls, before losing to the Godolphin School.  After winning their pool they met Godolphin again in the final losing 2-0 in a closely contested match.
