Salopians placed in top 10% in Computational Thinking Challenge 2022
Third and Fourth form Computer Science students celebrated their success in this year’s Bebras Computing Challenge.
The University of Oxford is, in partnership with the Raspberry Pi Foundation, the National Organising Body of the UK Bebras Challenge. Over 220,000 children took part in the 2022 challenge and Shrewsbury students received 31 Gold Awards for being placed in the top 10% nationwide.
These pupils can now look forward to an invitation to take part in the Oxford Computing Challenge in March, with the prospect of making it through to the finals held at Hertford College.
At the Intermediate level, Kaisei T (Rt, III) deserves a special mention for achieving an outstanding result, scoring 184 out of the 200 available points. At senior level Joey P (M, IV) went one step further, scoring 200 points for solving each problem perfectly.
