A Salopian has won an impressive clean sweep of races for the second time at the North Staffordshire Cross Country League.

Harry P-M (I, IV) competed in and won three 4,500metre races in the U15 category at Betley and Stafford to be crowned the overall champion of the League.

Over the years, Harry’s position in the league has gone up and up, coming 3rd overall in 2017, 2nd in 2018 before reaching the top position in 2019, and doing it again in 2021.

Harry said: “In all the years I’ve competed in this league, no one has completed a clean sweep.

“I was really pleased with my performance in the league, and it has been a really good challenge for me, but now I am ready to move on to a bigger one, so I intend to compete in the National Cross Country series next year.

“This year I’d like to be placed in the top 10 for cross-country, 1500m, 800m, 600m. I want to see this all as a stepping stone towards a place in Team GB.”

Congratulations to Harry - we look forward to seeing what he has in store for this year.
