J15 rowing squads get first chance at racing at Wycliffe Head

Four squads from the Boat Club travelled to the Wycliffe Small Boats Head held on the Gloucester Berkeley Canal on Saturday and recorded a strong set of results over the 2500m course.  

It was the first opportunity for the J15 squads to get out racing. The J15 Girls came 5th of 11 in the coxed quad category and 3rd in the Rookie coxless quads event. The J15 boys raced in two fours in the J16 category coming in 3rd and 4th.  

The Senior Girls raced in two quads in the morning division coming in 4th and 9th in a strong field. In the afternoon they raced in two pairs and doubles coming in 4th and 6th in the doubles and 5th and 7th in the pairs.  

The J16 Boys picked up some silverware for their efforts by taking 1st and 2nd in the J16 coxed fours. In the Open coxed fours and Rookie quads event they won silver medals.
