Congratulations to Hattie A (L, G) who has been cast in a workshop production of a new musical commissioned by the National Youth Music Theatre.

The National Youth Music Theatre – described by Andrew Lloyd Webber as ‘the best youth music theatre in the world’ – stages four productions every summer, including one newly-commissioned work. Hattie will be following in the footsteps of alumni including Jude Law, Idris Elba, Sheridan Smith and Jonny Lee Miller. Every year, thousands of talented young performers audition for a role, and we are hugely proud that Hattie has been selected for this opportunity.

Since arriving at Shrewsbury as a Drama Scholar, Hattie has taken part in every production possible, including our recent tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Next week, she will be taking part in a student directed EPQ production of ‘And Then There Were None’ and is also in rehearsal for ‘Legally Blonde’, in which she is playing Elle Woods, and ‘West Side Story’ in which she is playing Anita.
