Pupils celebrate outstanding results in national computing challenge
Lower School Computer Science students are celebrating their success in this year’s National Bebras Computing Challenge.
Over a quarter of a million children took part in the 2024 challenge. 171 Shrewsbury students competed, with 27 achieving Gold Awards for being placed in the top 10% nationwide. These pupils can now look forward to an invitation to take part in the UK Computing Challenge early next year.
At the Intermediate level, Alan G (Rt) deserves a special mention for achieving an outstanding score, 208 being the highest ever for the school and easily surpassing the 168 national threshold for Gold Awards. At the higher level, Kaisei T (R) added Senior Best in School and Gold awards to match his previous success at junior level.
