Looking forward to Medic Malawi 2020

Plans are now underway for the next Shrewsbury School / Shewsy trip to Medic Malawi in July 2020.  

In assemblies last week, the Fourth and Fifth Forms learned about the partnership between the community of Mtunthama (central Malawi) and ‘Medic Malawi’, which funds projects in the area.

Next summer, a group of Salopians and members of the Shewsy Youth Club in Liverpool will spend two weeks in Malawi, visiting and learning about the various projects (including St Andrew's hospital, nutrition centre, Amao orphanage, and the eye clinic which is sponsored by Shrewsbury School). There will be opportunities to fundraise for the charity in advance, and to see how these funds are put to use.

Now a popular and well-established trip, any pupil who wishes to get involved or wants further information should contact Mrs Temple ([email protected]).

Closing date for expressions of interest: Friday 27th September 2019 (start of Coach Weekend)

Trip dates: 29th June – 15th July 2020
