At the Seat of Government
A party of 20 fortunate Salopians were hosted on a visit to the House of Commons on 6th May by Anthony Mangnall (O 03-08), MP for Totnes. Despite the triply daunting presence of his housemaster, tutor, and head of history, Anthony displayed a masterly knowledge of the history and idiosyncrasies of the Mother of Parliaments in a memorable tour that included the chamber itself, the division lobbies and the terrace as well as Westminster Hall. Our sincere thanks to Anthony for accepting a visit - prior to driving 200 miles back to his constituency!
