Sabrina Reunion

A sumptuous lunch .....

The Shrewsbury Regatta, sunshine, drinks and a sumptuous lunch – most of the ingredients were there for a gathering of Sabrina oarsmen of the pre-1961 vintage, hosted by the President of the Sabrina Club, Charles Wright (S 63-68). As icing on the cake, a Sabrina VIII won the Open Event on the river that afternoon, while underneath the Bowring Room a Boat Naming ceremony was also taking place, marking the remarkable contribution made to Shrewsbury rowing by Gordon Woods (Staff 79-03 and former Governor).
