CCF cadets enjoy Adventure Camp
On the first week of the Easter holidays 16 pupils (including five from Adcote School) visited Talargerwyn, offering CCF cadets an introduction to the great outdoors.
The week is certainly action-packed and started with white water rafting in Llangollen, followed by some gentle axe throwing, a mountain expedition, gorge walk, mountain biking and a whole day underground mine exploration – all topped off with go karting on the way home. The week went really well despite some challenging and cold conditions. Special thanks should go to Flt Lt Katie Rothwell for leading the trip, with assistance from C/Sgt Parkin (RM) and Captain Lucas.
We are really grateful to KH catering staff Kerrie and Claire for taking the time to enjoy the delights of Tally and feed us so well. We also really appreciated the support of our regular provider Gateway Outdoors (Matt Craig and Darren in particular) for providing activities in their usual professional and enthusiastic manner.
