Fourth Formers enjoy a jam-packed week at this year's CCF Adventure Camp
Fourth Formers enjoyed a busy week at this year’s CCF Adventure Camp.
We took twelve energetic fourth formers to the school bunkhouse at Talargerwyn (‘Tally’) and all certainly had an adventurous time.
The week started with a challenging two-day mountaineering expedition followed by a variety of activities ranging from gorge walking, axe throwing, rafting, climbing, mountain biking and exploring disused slate mines.
The group got stuck into the activities and enjoyed the great outdoors in Snowdonia National Park, where Tally is located. The group were brilliantly catered for by school cook Kerrie O and the event finished with go kart racing where CCF SSI Captain T battled against our younger drivers on this fast circuit.
All students gained their Mountain Training Mountain Skills certificate, which covers a variety of skills from mountain awareness to navigation and first aid.
