Cadets sleep outside to raise money for Veterans charity

On Saturday evening 35 members of Shrewsbury CCF slept outdoors on the school site to raise awareness of the plight of homeless service veterans.
These cadets all volunteered to take part in The Great Tommy Sleepout, which is designed to raise awareness of homelessness but also to raise money for a military charity.
Groups across the UK have opted to sleep outdoors at some time during the month of March and Shrewsbury CCF cadets stepped up to take part.
The photo is taken on the morning after and shows the ‘survivors’. Luckily it was a mild and dry night and we are grateful to all those that took part in The Great Tommy Sleepout. If you would like to donate to support this cause, please use this link.
