CCF Cadets embrace adventure and sunshine in action-packed Easter Camp

Every Easter the CCF organise an Adventure Camp with the aim of introducing CCF cadets to the challenges and fun of adventurous training in the fantastic landscape of Snowdonia.
A prolonged spell of fine weather really helped to make to make the week a big success and this small group of cadets really got stuck in to the two day mountain expedition, trail biking, rafting, canoeing, mine exploration and much more.
The group were based at the school bunkhouse Talargerwyn where we were lucky to have Kerrie O from the school catering team to feed us so well. Big helpings were the order of the day as much energy was expended on our adventures and the group revelled in the large variety of activities but were also instrumental in organising their own evening activities to include the ‘kick the can’, ‘Russian spotlight’ and various other games not involving devices.
We often have quite challenging weather at Easter but to be able to show these youngsters the delights of Snowdonia in the best possible conditions was a real privilege and they were a delight to deal with.
