Exciting Adventure Society trip scheduled for 2025

The Adventure Department is hosting a new winter trip for 2025.  

Following the success of our 2024 trip to the French Pyrenes, the Adventure Department is pleased to announce that we will be running a winter mountaineering skills trip to the Swiss Alps in 2025.  

This 7-day trip will take place in December and will give pupils the chance to learn a range of winter mountaineering skills including: 

• Snow shoeing  

• Ice and crampon use 

• Avalanche transceiver use and searches 

• Snow belays 

• Emergency shelters  

• Snow pits  

• Ascent of a major peak in winter conditions 

We will be staying at the amazing mountain hut pictured on the poster, fully catered for. All technical mountaineering equipment will be provided.  

We can take a maximum of 14 pupils and we are happy to take students from any year group.
