Adventure Department set to explore the Pyrenees next Summer
In the Summer of 2024 the Adventure Department will be running its first international expedition to the Pyrenees mountain range straddling the border between France, Spain and Andorra.
This trip is for students with a passion for adventure.
We will spend 6 days (30th of June - 6th July) exploring the area around Val-de-Sos on the French side of the mountains. Students will have the chance to mountaineer including ascending peaks like 2472m Pique-de-Emdron and staying overnight in a high mountain hut on the border between France and Andorra. Other activities including via-ferrata, canyoneering and caving.
The main accommodation for the trip will be a hostel just above the town of Val-de-Sos where students will be able to experience excellent French food and enjoy a slower pace of life while recovering from the day’s adventures. To round off the trip the students will get a chance to visit the stunning old town of Carcassonne.
The trip is aimed at Fourth form and above however we are willing to take Third form students who are keen and have made a good impression during the Base program. Cost is around £950 including all flights, food, activities and accommodation.
