Students highly commended at this year's Cheadle Hulme MUN
Last weekend, Miss von Kuk and Miss Stockburn took 12 motivated delegates to the first MUN conference of the academic year at Cheadle Hulme School.
The students discussed current political issues while representing Rwanda and Jamaica at MUNCH 2023. All delegates made meaningful contributions to the interesting and sometimes heated debates.
Five students received awards for their efforts:
From our Rwandan delegation, Liam G (Rt, UVI) was highly commended delegate in the Health Committee, Chelsey D (MSH, V) was best young delegate in the Education Committee, and Jade C M (MSH, LVI) won commended delegate in the Youth Committee.
From our Jamaican delegation, Jeremy C (R, V) was commended delegate in the Human Rights Committee and Chloe L (MSH, V) was commended delegate in the Health Committee.
As a tribute to his service to MUN, the MUNCH Committee awarded the Mike Chambers award to Huw Peach to honour him, and Susan Evans shared some of her fond memories from over twenty years of attending MUN conferences with Mr Peach.
