Female cadets lead the way in CCF sections
It’s been a successful summer for some of our best female cadets in the CCF.
This year both Royal Marine and Army CCF sections have Upper Sixth Form girls in charge. The senior cadets in each section are, by definition, the top cadets in their year and take on much of the organisation and programme of their groups.
Many congratulations to Imogen V(QE) who becomes the first ever female head of the Royal Marine Section. Our Army Section will also benefit from Charlie S (EDH), who becomes the second ever female head of this group. Charlie led her Army team to gold medal success on this year’s prestigious Cambrian Patrol competition which pitted our cadets against other teams on the infamous Sennybridge Training area of South Wales.
Imogen’s success continues, as she and Ellie B (EDH) have been both been awarded prestigious Army Scholarships.
This gives these cadets a guaranteed place at RMAS (Royal Military Academy Sandhurst) as well as significant financial support through school and university.
Both girls have been keen members of the CCF through their time at school and have fully immersed themselves in all the opportunities the CCF has to offer.
