The winners of this year’s Biology Photo Competition have been announced, with the prize-winning pictures ranging from some stunning wildlife photography to impressive nature shots.

The judges of this year’s photography competition were made up of biology teachers, enthusiasts and an art and photography teacher, who all took on the challenge of judging the hundreds of entries.

Biology Teacher Henry Exham said: “This is now the Fifth year of the Biology Photo competition and it is great to see once again such a variety of different images. There were over one hundred entries showcasing a wonderful biodiversity across both the plant and animal kingdoms. The job for the judges was therefore tougher than ever with so many images of merit but they narrowed it down in the end and have picked some fantastic photos once again.

“Congratulations to all the winners!”
