How Outdoor Week engages with the community…
June 24th 2021
As well as being a fun week of expeditions and activities, Outdoor Week is also a chance for our pupils to engage in some work for the community.
This year our pupils assisted Shropshire Council with pathway projects to make areas more accessible for the public, helped out down at the Barnabus Centre and Foodbank+ with painting and gardening, and also took a trip to The Shewsy to see the hard work that goes on there.
Stuart Cowper, Head of Partnership and Community Engagement said: “Outdoor Week saw lots of meaningful partnership work and wider volunteering for the community in and around school – all part of the Salopian experience.”
